Schizophrenia Studies

Forest - Cariprazine study
• Diagnosis of Schizophrenia
• Age 18-60
• Evaluating a new drug called Cariprazine in all patients (no placebo)
• Patient will be hospitalized for first 3 weeks of study.

Otsuka – Aripiprazole study
• Diagnosis of Schizophrenia for at least 1 year.
• Age 18-65
• Subjects who have at least 1 inpatient psychiatric hospitalization in the last 2 years, but have managed as outpatients for at least 4 weeks.
• Been on oral antipsychotic treatment for at least 7 months. Injectable antipsychotics taken within the last 7 months will be excluded.
• Have shown response to antipsychotic treatment (other than Clozapine).
• Looking for patients who may benefit from extended treatment with a long-acting injectable formulation.
